Some Reminders

I thought it would be important to give a few reminders about some upcomming important dates.

I'll start with the dates that involve everyone, Tuesday, May 13th. That is the date of our next band concert for 7th, 8th and 9th grade. The 7th grade date that was printed in the parent newsletter was a mistake.

The schedule for that night looks like this.

2:50 - 4:30 - Selected students help set up in the South Gym
6:00 - 7th Grade Band Arrives in the Band Room
6:30 - 7th Grade Band Concert
6:45 - 8th and 9th Grade Bands Arrive (meeting places to be announced later)
7:20 - 8th graded band performs, immediately followed by 9th grade band and then the combined bands play the last piece
After the concert everyone helps take care of equipment and we all go home!

We are trying to work in a jazz band concert as well but just don't know if we will be able to fit it in the busy schedule for the evening.

The other date I need to mention is Solo and Ensemble Festival at Maple Grove Junior High. We have several students participating in the festival this year and that is wonderful. The date is April 26th. All performance times happen between 8:00am - 1:00pm. I will post individual times this Friday. Be sure to check for your time. The jazz band will be performing that morning at the festival. I will be able to give the students our time at this Friday's morning rehearsal.
